Claudia M. Smith, 83, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, January 14, 2008 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Tired Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Whigham, GA. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service at Ivey Funeral Home. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V. F. W. Post 4904. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian U. Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Wistar of Phoenix, AZ; her son, Allen Smith of Donalsonville, GA; two brothers, Noble Ziglar of Youngstown, FL and Robert P. Ziglar of Merlin, OR; three grandchildren, Carla Helmstadter, Shana McAfee, and Lyra Seitman; and six great-grandchildren.
