Coley Prance

Coley C. Prance, 88, of Brinson, GA, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Clayton Blackshear, Rev. Warren Fox and Pastor Dan Tomberlin officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Hilton Aultman, Cliff Hutto, Don Kell, Phillip Martin, James Matthews, Terry Day, Travis Blevins and Winston Brock serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1303 Vada Road, Bainbridge, GA 39817. Mr. Prance was born May 31, 1922 in Decatur County, GA, the son of I. Landey Leonandous Prance and Beulah Weems Prance. He was a farmer and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ada Hendley and his brother, Dewey Prance. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Cotele H. Prance of Brinson, GA; his daughter, Lenorah Prance Chapman and her husband Larry of Colquitt, GA; his grandsons, Corey Chapman and his wife Robin of Cumming, GA and Casey Chapman and his wife Jamie of Bainbridge, GA; and his great-grandchildren, Coley and Kell Chapman and Aubrey Chapman.
