Cora Monday

Cora Glass Monday, 86, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away, Sunday, April 20, 2008 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Jamie West, Tripp Chapman, Brock Smith, Brian Mock, Robbie Monday, Anthony Holley, Thad Brogden , Al Murkerson, and SFC Billy Keasler serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Monday was born October 15, 1921 in Miller County, GA, the daughter of Emsley Glass and Annie Lou Lovering Glass. She was a manager with The Shoe Box and a member of Port City Church of God. Mrs. Monday was preceded in death by her husband, Preston J. Monday and her son, Billy Ray Monday. Survivors include her daughter Retha Keasler of Bainbridge, GA; her sister Easter Bond of Cairo, GA; and seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
