Corene Stabler

Mrs. Corene Harrell Stabler, 95, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Roberts and Rev. Jean Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery with Ryan Stabler, Garret Stabler, Mike Birgenheier, Tim Birgenheier, Charles Auburn Wells, and Arthur Roberts serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Stabler was born October 27, 1911 in Decatur County, GA, to the late Ben B. Harrell and Linnie Mills Harrell. She graduated from West Bainbridge High School, was a bookkeeper, and retired in 1972 from First State National Bank. She was a member of West Bainbridge United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jim Mercer, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. Survivors include her husband, James E. Stabler of Bainbridge, GA; a son, James Lemuel Stabler and wife Lynn of Climax, GA; a daughter, Mary S. Mercer and husband Wayne of Clarkesville, GA; four grandchildren, Kaye Birgenheier, Beth Birgenheier, Ryan Stabler, and Garret Stabler; and 8 great-grandchildren.
