It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Craig Stephen Couturier, 74, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. Couturier died on June 24, 2026, at home in Bainbridge, Georgia.
Craig proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for four years and completed a tour of duty in Vietnam. He then proudly served in the United States Army and retired after twenty years in uniform. Craig went on to serve fellow veterans as a Veterans Affairs Service Officer for the State of Georgia for 22 years, retiring as Director of Veterans Benefits South Region.
Craig Couturier is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Couturier; his daughters, Siobhan and Erika; grandchildren, Brody, Rowan and Ari; sisters, Linda and Coleen; brothers, Jack (Phyllis) and Jim; along with numerous other family members and friends. Craig was predeceased by his mother Linda Morgan, his stepfather Jimmy Morgan and brother-in-law Roy Scott.
He loved hunting with friends, camping with family, cruising the high seas and Harley motorcycle riding with his Harley owners’ group. He lived life to the fullest and should always be remembered as full of good humor!
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
