Cruz Abrigo

Cruz "Poppy" Abrigo, 79, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his residence. The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Oak City Cemetery with Rev. Dave Hamm, S.T. officiating. Mr. Abrigo was born February 5, 1935 in Blunstzer, TX, the son of Jesus Abrigo and Maria Saez Abrigo. He was a farmer and lived most of his life in South Florida. Poppy loved to fish, to grow plants, and dearly loved his family. Survivors include his children, Raul Abrigo of Bainbridge, GA, Cristobal Abrigo of Albany, GA Maria Teresa Santiago of Bainbridge, GA, Tomas Abrigo of Cairo, GA, Pedro Abrigo of Bainbridge, GA, and Margarito Abrigo of Bainbirdge, GA; his siblings, Igancio Abrigo of Immokalee, Florida and Jesus Abrigo, Jr. of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel B. Abrigo and his grandson, Julian Abrigo.
