Cynthia Hand

Mrs. Cynthia Ann Chastine Hand, age 54, of Bainbridge, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. David Grubbs will officiate. Cynthia Ann Chastine was born August 1, 1958 in Griffin, Georgia to Frank Chastine and Barbara Gray Chastine. Her mother preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, David Gardner Hand. They have been together for 28 years. Cynthia loved people and serving them. She worked as a waitress at the Waffle House Restaurant for many, many years. Cynthia loved children and animals. She especially loved her faithful companion, Gracee Mae. Cynthia Hand is survived by her husband, David Gardner Hand of Bainbridge; father and step-mother, Frank and Doris Chastine of Fayetteville, Georgia; step-son, David "Bo" Kent of Bainbridge; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Billy Harland of Macon, Georgia; brothers and sister-in-laws, Eddie and Gana Chastine of Fayetteville, and Freddie and Patricia Chastine of Sharpsburg, Georgia; grandchildren, Luke Kent, Elisabeth Kent and Hailee Faith Attaway, all of Bainbridge; aunt and uncle, Pat and Jerry Wulff of Newnan, Georgia; and special friends, Brenda Wulff and DeWayne King of Bainbridge.
