D. L. Culverson, 81, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Medley officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Daniel Culverson, Johnny Presilla, Darvin Flowers, Brad Reynolds, Chuck Piornack, and Dusty Reeves serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Culverson was born August 30, 1929 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Daniel Lamar Culverson and Eva Marie Dixon Culverson. He owned and operated D & D Lawnmower Shop for over 34 years, he enjoyed riding and taking care of his horses, and was of the Methodist Faith. Mr. Culverson was preceded in death by his brothers, Morris Culverson and Roland Culverson. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joan Culverson; his sons, Donald Culverson and his wife Patricia of Bainbridge, GA, and Daniel Culverson of Bainbridge, GA; his daughters, Diana Piornack and her husband Chuck of Sunrise, FL, and Connie Presilla of Bainbridge, GA; his brothers, Marvin Culverson of Havana, FL, and Roger Culverson of Stark, FL; his sisters, Bonnie Taylor of Bainbridge, GA, and Joan Brock of Bainbridge, GA; his ten grandchildren, Erica, Samantha, Janna, Tonya, Johnny, Melissa, Jamie, Amanda, Tiffany, and Daniel; and his seven great-grandchildren.
