Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Merle Scott Newsome, 77, of Cartersville, GA will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Brinson Cemetery. Interment will follow in Brinson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Newsome was born in Bainbridge, GA August 26, 2932 to the now late Paul Thomas and Vere Mae Hutto Scott. She was of the Baptist Faith, was a very personable person, and loved to fish. Mrs. Newsome passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. She is survived by two sons, Alvin Charles Henderson and William Edward Scott; five grandchildren, Tangila R. Bowers, Daisy J. Harrison, Charles M. Henderson, William Edward Scott Jr., and Terrl Lee Allen Scott; and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Newsome was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo Newsome, and siblings; Elmer Pat Scott, Tanksley Hutto, Lonnie Chester Scott, Forester Scott, Junior Hutto, Mary Catherine Hooks, and Willie Virginia Nix.
