Dana Roberts

Dana Chaney Roberts, 41, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. Services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Grubbs will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00. LaDon Odom, Ferrell Odom, Stevie Daniels, Jay Stout, Todd McMillian, and Danny Whatley will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery. Dana was born June 15, 1971 in Tallahassee, Florida. Her parents are Charles H. Chaney and Mary Ann Alday Chaney. Dana loved to cook and was very talented at crafts. She dearly loved her family and her dog, Dixie. Dana Roberts is survived by her husband of 24 years, John Christopher Roberts of Bainbridge; children: Joshua Michael Roberts of Tallahassee, Amber Nicole VanderHeide and husband, Zach of Bainbridge, Anna Joyce Roberts of Donalsonville, Georgia, and John Christopher Roberts, Jr. of Bainbridge; father: Charles H. Chaney of Bainbridge; sisters and brother: Teresa Toliver and husband, Jessie, Marie Milligan and husband, Mark, Christopher Chaney, all of Bainbridge and Crystal Godwin and husband, Robbie, of Donalsonville; grandparents, Mary and Ted Lanton of Jakin, Georgia; and one grandchild, on the way, Christopher Jaxon VanderHeide. Dana was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Alday Chaney, and step-mother, Barbara Ann Chaney. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help with the funeral expense.
