Herbert Daniel "Danny" Brock, 55, of Copperas Cove, TX, formerly of Pelham, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Copperas Cove. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Franklin Russ and Rev. Ed Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Brock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . After serving in the U.S. Army he worked in the concrete construction industry. He lived near Pelham, GA before moving to Copperas Cove, TX. Danny was preceded in death by his father, R. C. Wills; his grandfather, Willie Lee Brock; his grandmother, Mary Dale Brock; and his uncles, C. O. Brock, Eugene Brock, and Otis Brock. Survivors include his parents, Sue and Charles Gilson of Copperas Cove, TX; his sister, Debbie Holstine of Hernando, MS; his brother, Roger Willis and his wife Rosa of Olive Branch, MS; his uncle, Lavon Brock and his wife Daphene of Baconton, GA; his aunts, Rosa Strickland and her husband Glenn of Tallahassee, FL, and Marie Williams and her husband Frank of Pelham, GA; his nieces and nephews, Lance Butterfield, Jesse Taylor, Jacob Willis, Brooke Pomerenk, and Leslie Williams; and his great nieces and nephews, Sophie Pomerenk, Victoria Taylor, Abbygayle Taylor, Mary Elizabeth Taylor, and Hayden Williams.
