Danny Kelly

Mr. Danny Buford (Buck) Kelly, Jr., age 44, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at his home in Cairo, Georgia. Services for Mr. Kelly will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Bainbridge, Georgia. Pastor Robert Johns will be officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo. Dale Mitchell, Ronny Kelly, Donny Kelly, Craig Wilson, Henry Dan Freeman, and Jamie Owens will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Danny Buford Kelly, Jr. was born September 6, 1970, in Quincy, Florida. He was a master electrician and plumber. Mr. Kelly was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and loved to listen to country music. Danny was a beloved father. Danny (Buck) Kelly will be sorely missed by the family and friends he loved so very much. Danny Kelly, Jr. is survived by his parents, Danny Buford Kelly, Sr. of Whigham, Georgia and Martha Ann Cross Chastain and husband, Lloyd of Holly Isles in Seminole, County; children, Heather Kelly, Danielle Kelly, and Jessica Kelly, all of Cairo; brother and sisters, Lisa Wilson and husband, Craig of Bainbridge, Melinda Joyner and husband, Andy of Whigham, Dale Mitchell and wife, Sharon of Bainbridge, Amy Porter and husband, Chris of Tallahassee, Florida, and Janice Mitchell of Sneads, Florida; grandchildren, Jessie Kelly, Bentley Alba, Aubrey Barrett, and Erikka Groves; former wife, Lisa B. Kelly of Cairo; aunt and uncle, Mary and Irving Cross of Cairo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
