Danny Shepard

Danny Shepard, 62, of Climax, GA, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Poppell officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Jimmy Shephard, Ken Shephard, Greg Kelly, Rick Kelly, Jeff Kelly and Charlie Miller serving as active pallbearers. Mr. Shepard was born January 24, 1948 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Fredrick Daniel Shephard and Clara Mae Josey Shephard. He was a graduate of Climax High School, Class of 1966 and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army and retired from Engelhard Corporation / BASF with over 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Jones Shepard; his daughter, Amanda Shepard King; and his grandson, Tanner Shepard. Survivors include his son, Daniel Shepard and his fiancé Jami Hatton of Camilla, GA; his daughters, Deena Shepard of Iron City, GA and Angela Shepard Howard of Climax, GA; his brother, Jimmy Shephard and his wife Brenda of Climax, GA; his sisters, Louise Miller of Bainbridge, GA and Annette Kelly of Climax, GA; and five grandchildren, Johnathan King, Jacob King, Grayson Shepard, J. J. Shepard, and Braeden Gause.
