David Pyles

Mr. David Daniel Pyles, age 69, passed away at his home in Cairo, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, January 29, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, at Rawls Cemetery, 249 Bobwhite Lane, Cairo, Georgia. The Rev. DeWayne Atkinson will officiate. David Daniel Pyles was born February 5, 1953, in Cairo, to James Arthur Pyles and Gladys Mathis Pyles. He was a talented electrician and plumber. He started working before he was in high school and loved what he did. He took pride in his work and cared about his customers. David was all about family. He was the glue that held his family together. His grandchildren were his heart. His work and his family - those two things defined this kind, loving man. David Pyles will be deeply missed. David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Ketter Pyles of Cairo; children, Christine Pyles of Cairo and Kelly Pyles Barnes of Ladson, South Carolina; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty McGuire and Jewel Baker; and brothers, James Ellis Pyles, Bobby Gene Pyles, and Danny Ray Pyles.
