Mr. David Harry Rau, age 80, died very peacefully, early Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at his home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Mr. Rau will be buried in Tampa, Florida. HIs family will celebrate his life with a private service.
David Harry Rau was a native of Tampa, Florida. He is survived by his wife, Jan Ceta Armitage Rau of Bainbridge, 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. His parents have preceded him in death, Leon Harry Rau and Iva Eva (Peggy) Smith Rau. He has two sisters and a brother surviving him. Mr. Rau proudly served in the US Marines during Viet Nam. He was talented in plastering and stucco work. He continuing to work past time for retirement because his talents were still in demand.
