David Richard Simpson, 59, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at his residence. The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Woodlawn Cemetery with Donna Bevels officiating. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . David Richard Simpson was born March 25, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH. He served in the U. S. Marines, was a technical illustrator for Lynch Machinery Systems and attended The First Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Hume Wilson Simpson and his sister, Kathy Shallhorn. Survivors include his wife, Cathy E. Simpson; his son Stephen Christopher Jory and his wife Enid of Watertown, NY; his sister-in-law, Paula Pollock of Bainbridge, GA, his grandchildren Emile Jory, Sean Luke Jory and Lia Elizabeth Jory, all of Watertown, NY his mother; Maude Katherine Dugger of Cincinnati, OH; his brothers, Sonny Simpson, Ricky Simpson and Terry Simpson, all of Cincinnati, OH; his sisters, Mary Ann Johnson of Portland, OR and Lisa Cunningham of Cincinnati, OH; his nieces, Nikki Cunningham, Michele Brossett and her husband Douglas and Melissa Anderson and her husband Justin; his great-niece, Abigal Anderson; and great-nephew, Abram Anderson.
