Debby Braswell, 56, of Brinson, GA, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018.The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bainbridge-Decatur County Humane Society, 1250 Cox Avenue, Bainbridge, GA 39819.Debby Braswell was born April 2, 1961 in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Milton and Betty Braswell. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1979 and a member of First Christian Church. Debby was a poultry and cattle producer in the Bethany Community.Described as "a tad bit stubborn", Debby set out to accomplish anything she put her mind to. She allowed obstacles to become stepping stones and lived by the mantra "nothing can stop me". Relationships with her family and friends were extremely important and Debby would always go the extra mile to take care of their needs.Survivors include her loving companion, James Cannon; her daughters, Bridget Schwartz of Washington, D.C. and Stephanie Jones of Brinson, GA; her parents, Milton & Betty Braswell; and her beloved dog, Buster. Debby was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Braswell; her brother, Roger Braswell; and her dog, Teddy.
