Deborah D. "Debbie" Skipper, 64, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Harrell and Rev. Andy Glover officiating. Interment will be at Beulah Thomas Baptist Church Cemetery with Cuyler Duke, Ryan Skipper, Michael Marty, Whit Skipper, Terry Duane Tate and Woody Hacker serving as active pallbearers.The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Ivey Funeral Home. Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.Deborah Kaye Duke was born November 16, 1952 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of James V. "Jabo" Duke and Myrtice Day Duke. Debbie worked at CSC for over twenty years and was a Christian.Although Debbie lived most of her life in Decatur County, she was an avid Tennessee Vols fan. She proudly donned orange and white during football season. When football season was over, she enjoyed trips to the beach, working in her yard, cross stitching, and reading. She had a kind heart and was always willing to care for others. Debbie loved her family, including her fur babies Murphy, Conner and Pippa, more than anything. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Charlie Whit Skipper; her children, Trent Clayton of Colorado, Trena Bledsoe and her husband, Jamie, of Tennessee, Lisa Skipper, Dionna Hacker and her husband Woody, Robin Skipper-Tate and her husband, Terry Duane, John Skipper, all of Bainbridge, and Josh Skipper and his wife, Tanya, of Dothan, AL; her siblings, Eric Duke and his wife, Angela, of Bainbridge, Bret Benninghoff of Atlanta, and Barbara Benninghoff Guy of Franklin, NC; her sister-in-law, Mary White Simmons of Lake Seminole; her step-mother, Mary Jane Duke; and her nineteen grandchildren. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, James V. "Jabo" Duke and Myrtice Day Simmons; and her brother, Jerry Simmons.
