Deloris Birdsong Tilton, 56, of Thomaston, GA, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Eldorendo Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas P. Long and Dr. Jerry Light officiating. Interment will follow at Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery with Lance Brebham, Kim Rentz, Winston Williams, Gerald Franklin, Gene Dunlap, and Randy Dunlap serving as active pallbearers. She grew up in Bainbridge, and was a member of Eldorendo Baptist Church until moving to Thomaston five years ago. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1971, a homemaker, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Thomaston, GA. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Don Birdsong and David Eugene Birdsong. Survivors include her daughter, Eve Tilton Worley and her husband James of Jacksonville, FL; her son, Adam Tilton of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, John H. Birdsong, Jr. of Camilla, GA, William "Billy" Birdsong and his wife Lynn of Bainbridge, GA, and Vic Birdsong of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Myralynn B. Tutwiler of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Janice B. Young and her husband Grant of Tulsa, OK, and Elaine B. Denham and her husband Ed of Thomaston, GA; her mother, Eula Roper Birdsong of Bainbridge, GA; two grandchildren, Brooke and Bryan; and a sister-in-law, Mary Birdsong of Ft. Myers, FL.
