Deryck Pyles

Graveside services for Mr. Deryck Pyles, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham, Georgia. Rev. Bob Knight will officiate. Mr. Deryck Laverne Pyles, age 68, of Ochlocknee, Georgia, died July 13, 2021, at the home of his sister, Katherine. He was born December 28, 1952, in Cairo, Georgia to Laverne and Juanita Pyles. Deryck attended Whigham High School and served in the U.S. Army. Deryck worked many years in construction and was a skilled carpenter. He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed working on cars as well as drawing them. Mr. Pyles is survived by his son, D. J. Pyles (Tiffany); siblings, Katherine Elliott (Bruce), Deveni Jacobs, James Pyles (Joyce), and Patricia McElhaney (Elwood); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Laverne Pyles and Juanita Rehberg Pyles.
