Donald W. Baker, 73, of Bainbridge, GA, formerly of Stockbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donald William Baker was born July 29, 1947 in Porterdale, GA, the son of David Josh Baker, Jr. and Louise Sorrels Baker. Donald worked as a residential contractor. He married Diane Faith in 2014, and two years ago they made Bainbridge their home. Donald was Baptist by faith. Some described Donald as "a little stubborn and set in his ways". For a contractor, this served him well. He tended the details and reveled in the fruits of his effort. He enjoyed fishing and traveling cross country in the RV. Donald was loving and kind, always willing to give the shirt off his back to those in need. Survivors include his wife, Diane Baker; his siblings, Fred & Betty Jo; his grandchildren, Holly & Andy Patrick; and his great-grandchildren, Evan, Madison, Daniel, and Everett. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Baker Austin.
