Donald Oates

Mr. Donald (Donnie) Gerald Oates, age 67, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at this home in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,graveside, at Oak City Cemetery, on Friday, April 24, 2015. Rev. Milton Harrison will be officiating. Donald Gerald Oates was born October 18, 1947 in Cairo, Georgia. Donnie proudly served in the United States Air Force. He collected lighthouses and eagles. Donnie had a heart to serve his friends. He loved to help people. Donald Oates is survived by his sisters, Judy Hanson and husband, Bob, and Glynda Howell and companion, Miles Stokes, all of Jacksonville, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank O. Oates and Pauline Williams Rabun, and sisters, Debbie Greek Gehauf and Susan D. Heinrich.
