Donald Spooner

Mr. Donald (Hardknocker) Vincent Spooner, Sr., age 68, of Vada, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, in Tallahassee, Florida. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, September 17, at the Solid Rock Church, 1031 Old Quincy Road, Bainbridge, Georgia. Pastor Chuck Bostick will be officiating. Donald Vincent Spooner was born July 29, 1948, in Greensboro, Florida. His parents, Marian Gus Spooner and Ruth Naomi Hawkins Spooner, have preceded him in death. Donald enjoyed antiques. He loved to buy, sell, or trade. He was an avid hunter. Hardknocker went to the drag races every chance he could. Donald Spooner will be deeply missed by his many friends and family. Mr. Spooner is survived by his son, Donald Vincent Spooner, Jr. Of Vada; his sister, Darlene Cloud of Bainbridge; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Connie Dillard of Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, Brandon Whittaker, Jr. and wife, Carah, Ashley Whittaker, Brittany Whittaker, Blake Robinson, and Daniel Gus Spooner; and 3 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Priscilla Whittaker.
