Donna Gougeon

Mrs. Donna Shappee Gougeon, 74, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, GA. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Box 541, Bainbridge, GA 39818 Mrs. Gougeon was born on April 7, 1932 in Minetto, NY, the daughter of Frederick Carlton Shappee and Edith Dorcas Quinn Shappee. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1949 and Keuka College in Keuka, NY in 1953. She was a registered nurse and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Gougeon. Survivors include two sons, L. Ben Gougeon of Columbia, SC and Mike Gougeon (Wanda) of Madeira Beach, FL; two daughters, Pauline Gougeon-Owen of Valdosta, GA and Debi G. Riggins (Fred) of Camilla, GA; 1 brother: Carl Shappee, Jr. of Minetto, NY; eight grandchildren, Shane Owen, Kerri Owen Dean, Blair Ethridge, Christian Riggins, Brittney Lauren Gougeon, Tara Michelle Gougeon, Michael Edward Gougeon, Jr., and Rachel Gibson; and two great-grandchildren, John Laurent Dean and Braxton Cole Ethridge.
