Donna Stewart Whittaker, age 73, of Brinson, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on June 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. No services are planned at this time.
Donna Stewart Whittaker was born on August 24, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jessie Johns and Frances Parish Johns Goforth. Donna was a quiet, kind-hearted lady who never spoke ill of anyone. She was a good mama to her children. Donna loved to read, particularly fiction, and to work jigsaw and word search puzzles. She lived in this area for over 40 years after moving from Arkansas. Donna was retired as a medical assistant for Dr. Sarah Hampton in Donalsonville, Georgia.
Ms. Whittaker is survived her daughter, Kimberly Gould (Stephen) of Brinson: stepchildren, Sabrina Whittaker and Christopher Whittaker, both of Florida; her grandchildren, Jessica Reese Norton (Joey) of Iron City, Georgia, Mathew Gould (Lindsey) of Alabama, Bradley Smith of Brinson, Terri Smith Roberts (Steven) of Kentucky, Monica Smith Wilkinson (Kyle) of Douglas, Georgia, Jared Hewett, Emerson Hewett, Lily Maynard, and Layton Whittaker all of Florida; as well as 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Mac Johns and Sherry Johns Edwards (Thurman) both of Florida, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Terry W. Stewart, her daughters, Monica Lynn Stewart and Ouida Stewart Smith, her parents and her siblings, Mary Johns, Andrew Johns, Jimmy Johns, Robert Johns, and Roger Johns.
