Donnie Talley

Mr. Donnie Ray Talley, age 71, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in his home at Lake Seminole, Georgia. A memorial service will be held to honor Mr. Talley at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home, Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

Donnie Ray Talley was born October 30, 1953, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to Ollie Talley and Doris Love Talley. Donnie worked in construction and was a talented carpenter. An avid fisherman, he has lived at Lake Seminole for 30 plus years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends. He dearly loved his family, but his grandchildren owned his heart. Donnie will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Donnie Ray Talley is survived by his significant other, Margie Sowell; children, Ollie Joe, Joshua, and Jacob Talley and Tamera, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Josiah, Rebecca, and Nehemiah Sowell; sister, Bonny Hatcher; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; special niece, Amanda Talley; special nephew, Jason Elkins; and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jody Talley.
