Doris Barwick

Mrs. Doris A. Barwick died Friday, July 22, 2011 at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge, Georgia. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kent Barwick will officiate. Barry White, Tony Green, Phillip Green, Richard Cooper, Darryl Brock, and Phil Williams will serve as pallbearers. Doris Anne Lee Bennett was born July 8, 1923 to W. R. "Pete" Bennett and Alma Heard Bennett in Decatur County, Georgia. She was a beautician. Doris married J. L. Barwick, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 4904. Mrs. Barwick is survived by her daughters, Joan White and husband, Doug, and Karen L. Green and husband, Robert, of Bainbridge, Georgia; sons, Gordon Barwick and Jim Barwick of Bainbridge, Georgia; sisters: Bernice Conrad and Joann Johnson, both of Tallahassee, Florida; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children: Lisa Carol Barwick and Johnny Barwick; and sister: Iristine Johnson .
