Doris Eidson Joiner, 82, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Duvall officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Doris was born June 27, 1928 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Landers Guy Eidson and Mamie Elouise Burnum Eidson. She was a graduate of Pelham High School, Class of 1947, and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a case worker for the Department of Family and Children Services for many years. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Watson "Junior" Joiner of Bainbridge, GA; her brothers, Bobby Vance Eidson and his wife, Jeanette, of Cairo, GA and Landers Guy Eidson, Jr. and his wife, Olga, of Faceville, GA; her sister, Jan Eidson Mason and her husband, James, of Colquitt, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ross Elouise Joiner and her sister, Joan Dean.
