Dorothy Widner McCorkle, 84, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at her residence. The graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Scott Messer officiating. Mrs. McCorkle was born December 15, 1929 in Colquitt, GA, the daughter of Samuel Ealy Widner and Addie Gray Widner. She was a retired seamstress and attended the Donalsonville First Church of Nazarene. Survivors include her children, Janice Long and her husband, Jerry, of Bainbridge, GA, Dan McCorkle and his wife, Sandra, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Don McCorkle and his wife, Frances, of Blakely, GA; her siblings, Irene West of Colquitt, GA and Buddy Widner of Dothan, AL; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat W. McCorkle.
