Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy Lee Ezell Smith, 90, of Thomasville, GA formerly of Bainbridge, GA, will be held Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gerald Horne officiating. Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery with Terry Smith, Dale Smith, Craig Carr, Mitch Hiers, Don Moody, and Kenneth Sheffield serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Smith was born August 30, 1919 in Grady County, GA to the now late Will and Irene Wilson Ezell. She was raised in Grady County, lived most of her life in Bainbridge, GA, and moved to Thomasville, GA two years ago. She was married to the now late Elic Smith in 1936. She was a homemaker and a member of Bainbridge Church of God. Mrs. Smith dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren and passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, GA. She is survived by two daughters; Merle (Husband Douglas) Carr of Bainbridge, GA, and Wanda Slaughter of Thomasville, GA; two sons, Terry Smith of Thomasville, GA and Alex Smith of Bainbridge, GA; twenty three grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elic Smith; three sons, Johnny Mack Smith, Lavon Smith, and Jimmy Smith; one daughter, Linda Sheffield; three brothers, H.L.
