Dorothy L. "Lou" Waters, 81, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Medley officiating and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thomasville, GA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home. She was a switchboard operator for Henry S. Miller Real Estate Company, a member of First Baptist Church, and a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Waters of Bainbridge, GA; her son, Jim Smith of Dallas, TX; her step-sons, Steven Waters and his wife, Nancy, of Smyrna, GA and Phillip Waters of Grand Prairie, TX; and her brother, Dewey Moore and his wife, Wanda, of Fulton, MS. Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Patterson.
