Douglas Schilb

Mr. Douglas Louis Schilb of Bainbridge, Georgia, age 63, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville. Georgia. No public services will be held. Douglas Louis Schilb was born March 23, 1959, in Yonkers, New York to Louis Henry Schilb and Virginia Gottron Schilb. Doug was one of 16 children. He had a huge heart and was always ready to help others. Doug lived in the Bainbridge area, on and off, for many years. He was employed by South Georgia Oil Company as manager of a group of Inland Gas Stations. He enjoyed his work and worked hard. His most recent position was as Uber driver. He loved his clients and they loved him. Doug cared very deeply for his family, especially his son, Little Doug; fiancé, Rita Logue and daughter Peightyn; daughter, Heather Lara Sheffield; and grandchildren, Kaylie Elizabeth Boyett and Jaidyn Grace Boyett. Doug has now joined his parents, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters that have gone before him. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Doug is survived by his son, Douglas Schilb of Tallahassee, Florida; fiancé, Rita Logue and daughter Peightyn of Brinson, Georgia; daughter, Heather Lara Sheffield; grandchildren, of which he was so very proud, Kaylie Elizabeth and Jaidyn Grace Boyett; and siblings, 4 sisters and 3 brothers, living all over the country.
