Durl Phillips

Durl Phillips, 57, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewitt Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Phillips was born July 4, 1958 in Chattahoochee, FL. He worked with Amoco Fabrics as a machine operator for many years and loved spending time with his family, especially Sunday lunches with his mother. Mr. Phillips loved to fish and enjoyed riding the dirt roads. Survivors include his daughter, Robin Phillips of Bainbridge, GA; his mother, Estelle Cox and her husband Carey of Bainbridge, GA; his siblings, Linda Colvin and her husband, Henry, of Boston, GA, Nancy Phillips of Bainbridge, GA and Darlene Phillips of Bainbridge, GA; his grandchildren, Alaina Marie Smith, Amber Nicole Taylor and Bailey Breann Taylor; and niece and nephews, Scottie Huffman, Michael Huffman, Danielle Phillips, Daniel Phillips and Jacob Hawthorne. He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Arthur Phillips.
