Earl Austin

Edward E. Austin, 71, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Black Jack Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Black Jack Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Earl was born September 28, 1944, the son of Jefferson Patrick Austin and Frances Cuny Austin. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and served his country in the Air Force. In addition to being a dedicated family man, Earl was a talented draftsman who spent his career engineering and drawing plans for various industrial operations and machines. He was a Deacon at Black Jack Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of over 52 years, Roylene Dollar Austin; daughters, Kaye Buckhaulter of Bainbridge and Faye Whittaker and her husband, Chris, of Colquitt, GA; his grandchildren, Austin Lambert and Mikayla Buckhaulter; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Lynn Austin.
