Earline Worthy

Funeral services for Mrs. Earline Middleton Worthy, age 77 of Bainbridge, GA, will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Jason Bishop, Brandon Bishop, Ronnie Worthy, Jr., Jeff Worthy, Michael Accord and Joe Dodson serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Cox - Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Worthy was born in Miller County May 2, 1931 the daughter of the now late Charlie Lee and Myrtle Peters Middleton. She worked for Dickies eighteen years as a seamstress, Piggly Wiggly twelve years as manager and was a homemaker. Mrs. Worthy loved her family, loved to fish, garden, cook, her flowers and loved taking care of others. When you came to her home, she always wanted you to eat. She really loved taking care of Mr. Fred. She is survived by her husband of sixty one years, Fred H. Worthy of Bainbridge, GA; one daughter, Rita W. (husband Jim) Bishop of Keystone Heights, FL; one son, Ronald F. (wife Beverly) Worthy of Vienna, GA; two sisters, Nell (husband Jessie) Hatton of Donalsonville, GA, and June (husband Clarence) Jones of Donalsonville, GA; eight grandchildren, Ronnie Worthy Jr., Scott Worthy, Jeff Worthy, Heather Faircloth, Sunny Faircloth, Ashley Faircloth, Jason Bishop, and Brandon Bishop; and twelve great grandchildren. Mrs. Worthy was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Margaret Dodson, and one brother Edward Middleton.
