January 14, 1933 — April 29, 2015

Mr. David Brock, age 82, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge, Georgia. Services for Mr. Brock will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Black Jack Baptist Church. Pastor Bill McCamon and Rev. Conrad Salter will be officiating. Charles Brock, David Brock, Kent Brock, Adam Rentz, Jeremy Scott, and Chris Moore will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Black Jack Baptist Church. Earnest David Brock was born January 14, 1933 to John Rob Brock and Hazel Brock. David was a graduate of Climax High School Class of 1951. On January 5, 1952, he married Edna Salter. David worked as an electrician for P & B Electric and Flint River Electric. He was an active member of Black Jack Baptist Church, where he served first and foremost, his Savior and Lord. He was an active deacon and served on various committees over the years. David enjoyed fishing, watching his game shows, the Hallmark Channel and the Atlanta Braves, and being surrounded by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Edna Brock; his children, Charlie Brock and wife, Alice, Willard Brock and wife, Marjorie, all of Bainbridge, Earl Brock and wife, Kim, of Whigham, Georgia, and Jane Tye and husband, Wayne, of Chattahoochee, Florida; his grandchildren, Charles Brock (Jennifer), Amanda Rentz ( Adam), Carly Brock, David Brock, Dana Brock, Kent Brock, Kim Moore (Chris), Elizabeth Scott (Jeremy), Lacey Tye, Nelda Scott, Candace Page (Blake), and Leslie Tatum (Joe); and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Evelyn Toliver and Susie Glover. David is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lamar Brock; granddaughter, Marla Brock; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Harris Brock.
