Edith Jensen

Funeral services for Edith Jensen, age 62 of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Harrison and Bro. Woodrow Odom officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sam Odom, Mitchell Comerford, Joe Brown, Kenneth Godwin, Kim Whitehead, and Andrew Heard serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home. Ms. Jensen was born October 8, 1946 in Seminole County, GA to the now late L. G. Harrell and Annie Olene Merkison. She lived most of her life on the West Coast and had moved back to Decatur County in 2008. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, was a homemaker, and loved to crochet, knit, and read her Bible. Ms. Jensen passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to Cox-Ware Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses. She is survived by two sons; Thomas Dow and Travis Dow both of Oregon; two daughters; Terri Dow of Washington and Lisa Haughney of Oregon; two sisters; Joy Cook and Nora (Husband Bob) Day both of Bainbridge, GA; one brother; Larry (Wife Debbie) Harrell of Brinson, GA; numerous grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Jensen was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Leroy Kirkland, and one brother, Leggett Odom.
