Edmund Peterson

Funeral services for Mr. Edmund Peterson, Jr., age 71 of Miller County, will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Conrad Salter and Pastor Theresa Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Joey Taylor, Josh Taylor, Jay Taylor, Brandon Howard, Jeff Hurley and C.C. Schaefer serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Monday, August 25, 2008 at the family residence at 32 Martin Lane in Miller Co. Mr. Peterson was born April 21, 1937 in Olean, NY the son of the late Edmund Per Peterson, Sr. and Viola Irene Spencer Peterson. He has lived in Miller County for the past 20 years moving from CA. He worked at Vada Builders as a painter and with Salvation Army transporting supplies during emergencies and loved to fish. He accepted the Lord as his Savior before he passed away. He passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 at his residence in Miller County. He is survived by his wife of 5 years Gladys Wingate Peterson of Colquitt; one daughter Natasha (Chad) McMillan of Bainbridge; one son Sven (Tasha) Peterson of Blakley; one step-daughter Debra Eidson of Bainbridge; three step-sons Charles (Sherrie) Harrell of Whigham, Troy Barrow of Milledgeville, GA, and Jesse Hall of Bainbridge; one brother Douglas Peterson; one sister Cynthia Peterson; three grandchildren Justin and Jerrod McMillan and LaTrisha Peterson; five step-grandchildren Tina Tomlinson, C.C. Shaefer, Denise, Tonya and Charles Harrell and two great grandchildren. Directions to family home from Bainbridge, GA. Travel Hwy 27 North past Whites Bridge Rd. to the first lane on the left.
