Edna Kennedy

Edna Kennedy, 70, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewitt Phillips officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at West Bainbridge Cemetery with Chris Moore, David Donalson, Dalbert Stevens, George Cloud, Brent Haire, and Shawn Culverson serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2011, prior to the funeral service at Ivey Funeral Home. She was a devoted homemaker, an avid reader, loved to socialize, and enjoyed drinking Pepsi-Cola. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Poitivent of Bainbridge, GA, Renay Kennedy and his wife, Michelle, of Slocomb, AL, and Ed Kennedy of Climax, GA; her daughter, Tammy Howell and her husband, Chuck, of Seminole County, GA; her grandchildren, James Stevens, Jr., Dalbert Stevens, Tony Kennedy, Keith Kennedy, Megan Kennedy Stevens, and Lindsey Kennedy; and her great-grandson, Edward Renay Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earnest Kennedy, her grandson, Zachery Kennedy, and all of her siblings.
