Edna Wells

Edna Olivent Wells, 83, of Albany, GA (formerly of Faceville, GA) passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Greenshade Cemetery with Christopher Wells, Ryan Laughridge, Stan Cumbie, James Junkins, Todd Dollar, Gene Winter and Greg Russell serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Wells was born September 4, 1925 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of Lester Walker Olivent and Agnes Oberta Phillips Olivent. She was a graduate of Faceville High School, Class of 1942, and was a retired bookkeeper, and a Methodist. Survivors include her husband, Rudy Wells of Albany, GA; her son, Glenn Wells and his wife Diana of Gulf Breeze, FL; three daughters, Janelle Winter and her husband Greg of Albany, GA, Cindy Junkins and her husband James of Sylvester, GA, and Marcia Cumbie and her husband Stan of Albany, GA; a brother, Herbert A. Olivent of Bainbridge, GA; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
