Elizabeth Reddoch, 55, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Big Bend Hospice House. A celebration of her life and memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the American Legion Hall, 229 Lake Ella Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32303. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Reddoch Trust, c/o Mary L. Wakeman, 2511 Noble Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32308; Diving for Life, 7816 SE 114th Court, Portland, OR 97266; or WFSU, 1600 Red Barber Plaza, Tallahassee, FL 32310. Born on September 20, 1954, Elizabeth was a native of Marianna, Florida, and lived most of her adult life in Tallahassee. She received her B.A. and M.A. in psychology from Florida State University. Elizabeth worked as a Medical Disability Examiner for the Division of Disability Determinations at the Florida Department of Health. She received numerous accolades for her work and was loved by all for her caring wisdom, indomitable spirit and love for life and friends. Elizabeth enjoyed reading, racquetball, softball and kayaking. She was an avid SCUBA diver, certified shark diver and a lover of nature. She was a supporter of Diving for Life, the largest charity scuba diving group in the world, whose mission is to raise money for LGBT persons living with HIV/AIDS and breast cancer. She served on DFL's Board of Directors for six years and was president from 2005-2006. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, William Bryan Reddoch and Hazel Watson Reddoch, of Marianna, FL. She is survived by her life-partner of 21 years, Cindy J. Stottler; her step-mother, Jacqueline B. Reddoch; her brother, Tommie Reddoch; her sisters Deborah Hinson, Julie Miles, and Leigh Reddoch; several nieces and nephews; and her great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dogs and cats, Tobie, Roxie, Sophie and Penny.
