Ellie Harvell-Brock

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ellie Myrtice Harvell Brock, 78, of Lee County, GA will be held Friday, December 5, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Cox -Ware Funeral Home with Minister Craig Barrnet officiating. Interment will follow in Brock Cemetery with Mike Brock, Jerry Cooper, Chuck Ponder, Rickey Spooner, Ronny Spooner, and Dale Roy Thomas serving as active pall bearers. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Brock was born December 17, 1929 in Decatur County, GA to the now late Seab and Lura Wesley Smith Harvell. She lived in Decatur County until she was 24 and then moved to Lee County where she has resided since. She was a secretary for Environmental Services at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Attapulgus Methodist Church, had Granny School at home and loved her little boys. She often donated to the veterans and was a member of the Golden Key Club in Albany, GA. She passed away at her residence December 2, 2008. Mrs. Brock is survived by her husband Frank H. Brock, of Leesburg, GA; three daughters, Martha Ann (Husband Frank) Cox and Frankie Eaton both of Leesburg, GA and Linda Fitzgerald of Albany, GA; one son, David Howard Brock of Leesburg, GA; one sister Janie (Husband the late Roy) Spooner of Attapulgus, GA; one brother, Rudolph (Wife Dot) Harvell of Fowlstown; one brother-in-law Cleo Brock of Bainbridge, GA; nine grandchildren and seven great granchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
