Elsie Bullock

Elsie Blount Bullock, 64, of Pine Mountain, GA, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 at West Georgia Health in LaGrange, GA. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Mike Strickland officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be held at Cool Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Bullock was born August 5, 1946 in Bainbridge, GA, the daughter of William Albert Blount and Missouri Catherine Tharpe Blount. She was a graduate from Attapulgus High School, worked as a secretary for the State of Florida and retired with over 30 years of service, and was a member of Faceville Baptist Church. Mrs. Bullock was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "R. L." Bullock. Survivors include her son, Raymond L. Bullock, Jr. of Rochelle, IL; her two daughters, Donna McConnell and her husband, Billy, of Bainbridge, GA and Debra Sutton and her husband, Jim, of DeFuniak Springs, FL; her three brothers, Bill, Bob, and Ed; her five sisters, Betty, Marylou, Wynette, Martha, and Winnona; her eight grandchildren, Amber Cook, Colby McConnell, Sheena Peavy, Dusty Sutton, Lindsey Hand, Zachary McConnell, Caylee McConnell and Taylor Sutton; and her five great-grandchildren.
