Emma Jo Mims Jones, 72, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Memorial Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Dennis Jones, Mike Jones, Sam Jones, Alan Skinner, William Skinner, Jackson Jones, and David Drew serving as active pallbearers. Mrs. Jones was born February 16, 1937 in Bainbridge, GA. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Mims and her husband, Dee L. Jones Survivors include her sons, Dennis Jones and his wife Teresa of Warrenton, NC, Mike Jones and his wife Pam of Bainbridge, GA, and Sam Jones and his wife Vontae of Bainbridge, GA; her daughter, Deanna Jones Skinner and her husband Alan of Dothan, AL; her mother, Sue Wright Simmons of Bainbridge, GA; ten grandchildren, Tabitha, Kim, Suzie, Boen, Michael Lindley, Jackson, Peyton, Abbie, William, and Catherine; and five great-grandchildren.
