Ernest D. Anderson, 67, of Havana, FL, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. There will be a memorial service scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Mr. Anderson was born March 5, 1946 in Providence, RI. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Anderson was a system engineer with Syn-Tech Systems, and had worked with Leesona Corporation for many years in Rhode Island. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Peggy Sue Moody Anderson; his sons, Eric Anderson and his wife, Chris, of Hillsboro, NC and Brian Anderson and his wife, Cathy, of Greensboro, NC; his daughter, Ivy Rutledge and her husband, Gerry, of Greensboro, NC; his father, Ernest T. Anderson of Greenwich, RI; his mother, Gloria Johnson Taylor of Greenwich, RI; his sisters, Kay Bourassa and Maureen Rossiter both of Warwick, RI; his brother, Bill Anderson of Greenville, RI; his grandchildren, Caitlin Basile Cutchin, Stella Jane Rutledge, and Samuel Pierce Rutledge; his mother-in-law, Mae Moody; his sister-in-law, Carrie Flynn and her husband, Bill; his step-son, Zoe Logan; his uncle, Johnny Cooper and his wife, Peggy; his brother-in-law, Rex Moody and his wife, Connie; his niece, Shana Dean and her husband, Deano; his great nephews, Nico Dean and John Cooper; his great-nieces, Sabryna Dean and Emily Cooper; his cousin, Dennis Cooper and his wife, Monique; and his dear friends, Dave and Ingrid Engstrom. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Glenn Rutledge, his step-mother, Doris Anderson; his nephew, Brian Moody; his grandmother-in-law, Carrie Bell Whiddon Gilley; and his aunt, Betty Sue Whiddon.
