Estelle Conner Barrett Davis, 87, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Donna Bevels and Rev. Tommy Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church, prior to the funeral service. Estelle was born January 20, 1922 in Hartford, AL, the daughter of William Henry Conner and Lillian Earle McCoy Conner. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School worker and teacher, a member of the choir and enjoyed working in the nursery and Vacation Bible School. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Posey Lee Barrett; her son, James Edward Barrett; her three brothers, Boncel Conner, Elmer Conner and John Conner; and her second husband, Otis Davis. Survivors include her son, Walter Thomas Barrett and his wife Merry of Donalsonville, GA; her daughter, Elaine Waddell and her husband Dallas of Iron City, GA; three brothers, Wyatt Conner, Jerry Conner and Pat Conner; her sister, Bernell Judah; seven grandchildren, Teresa, Sandra, Jeff, Brenda, Brittany, Wayne and Sheila; and ten great-grandchildren.
