Ethel Haas

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Mae Spivey Haas, 75, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Roy Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Haas was born in Alma, GA December 8, 1934 to the now late Ralph and Agnes Hutson Spivey. She was married to Elwood L. Haas and was a homemaker. Mrs. Haas lived in Decatur County since 1962 moving from Jacksonville, FL. She was of the Baptist Faith, loved to sew, cook, and fish, her family and grandchildren. She was the oldest of six children. Mrs. Haas passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. She is survived by two daughters; Rose (husband Ken) Gibson of Colquitt, GA, and Kayron Haas (fiance Eduardo Lee) Lindsey of Bainbridge, GA; two sisters, Evelyn (husband Edward) Smith of Waycross, GA and Lois (husband Roger) Sellers of Hazlehurst, GA; one brother, Danny (wife Gail) Spivey of Savannah, GA; two grandchildren, Brian (wife Jennifer) Gibson and Lynn Lindsey; one great grandchild, Kase Gibson; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Haas was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers; Eugene and William Spivey.
