Eula Matthews

Eula Nunnery Matthews, 95, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 25, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Mrs. Matthews was born December 30, 1916 in Fayetteville, NC, the daughter of Murdock McKinnon Nunnery and Florence Jane Fort Nunnery. She was a devoted mother and was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Tommy M. Day and his wife, Mary, of Bainbridge, GA; her grandson, Lee Godwin and his wife, Tammi, of Bainbridge, GA; her great-grandchildren, Nick Godwin, Ashley Godwin, Wesley Godwin, Alex Clark, Taylor Clark, and Tyler Godwin; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Matthews; and her granddaughter, Joy G. Clark.
