Evelyn Medlock

Evelyn Boyett Medlock, 87, of Lincoln, Alabama passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Climax, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mrs. Medlock was born August 10, 1926 in Akron, OH, the daughter of James Leroy Salter and Mary Lou Logan Salter. She retired from the United States Army as a civilian clerk after 34 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her children, Charles Ronald Boyett and his wife, Cynthia, of Lincoln, AL, Judy McClure and her husband, Bill, of Appling, GA, James Thomas Medlock of Hamburg, Germany, and Laura Leugh Medlock of Stuttgart, Germany; her siblings, Larry Salter of Dothan, AL, Velma Booth of Lagrange, GA, and Patsy Carter of Smyrna, GA; her 17 grandchildren; and her 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Patrie and Ruth Mosley.
