Mr. F. Marion Miller, 92, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald, GA. The graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Attapulgus Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, October 12, 2009 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Miller was born August 16, 1917 in Decatur County, GA, the son of Wonnie Buell Miller and Bettice Butler Miller. He was a graduate of Attapulgus High School and attended Presbyterian College. He was a retired tobacco farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge. He was a lifetime Mason, having been a member of Attapulgus Masonic Lodge until transferring to Orion Lodge # 8 F & A M in Bainbridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Hodges Miller, his stepmother, Rudolph Miller, and two brothers, Pete Miller and W. B. "Buster" Miller, Jr. Survivors include four daughters, Bettice Miller Werner of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Nancy Miller Bankston of Pembroke Pines, FL, Frances Miller Poitevint and her husband Howard of Bainbridge, GA, and Mary Miller Scarbrough and her husband Darrell of Valdosta, GA; his brother, Gene Miller and his wife Mary of Bainbridge, GA; five grandchildren, Beth Werner Pope of Lake Mary, FL, Bob Werner, Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Prissy Bankston Willis of Pembroke Pines, FL, Bobby Bankston of Tallahassee, FL, and Hunter Poitevint of Winter Park, FL; and ten great-grandchildren.
